Windwave is an Oregon telecommunications and internet access service provider. They not only install miles upon miles of fiber optic cable all over the Inland Northwest year after year, but they also help configure data centers and create new opportunities for improving internet speeds and services.
When Windwave approached Artmil about designing a new website in 2013, it quickly became clear that if they wanted to look high-tech, they needed to start at the root of it all: their branding & identity needed overhauled first. We started with a new visual identity based on a “W” shape, and then coined their new tagline — “Working at the speed of light” — which is a double entendre that says that you can expect fast customer service and quick response times, as well as industry-leading innovation, at all times.
One of the first things Windwave did once their new identity was complete was buy ad space on 40 foot billboards all around the Northwest, helping to establish them as a trusted household name among internet service providers. We created two flexible billboard designs that told drivers, at a glance, what Windwave does and how they can learn more.

Beyond developing their new branding, we worked to build them a custom website completely from scratch, as well as a mobile version of the site (since this was before responsive websites were a must).
In addition to the digital pixel pushing, we’ve developed promotional brochures, business cards, ID badges, vehicle signage, and even radio advertising for select markets!
