When local business owner Tracy LaMarr was looking to open a franchise chicken restaurant in the Tri-Cities, she needed to find a company to help her position her food as the freshest, biggest, and best in town. Having just come off of the re-branding and food photoshoots for Pasta Mama’s, we were up for the challenge.
With locations in Nevada, California, Oregon, and Colorado, the Chicken Shack located in West Richland is Washington’s first Chicken Shack franchise location. Being a lesser known chain, Chicken Shack relies on its franchisees to do their own promoting regionally, so it was up to us to help build their reputation and entice people to come check them out.
We started by taking thousands of photos of their food, spending several hours having them cook up everything on their menu and then getting the lighting, angles, and presentation just right. Using those photos and their current menu, we set out to build a responsive website that featured the food front and center (since we eat with our eyes), and quickly allowed the visitor to order online for pickup through the Chicken Shack’s Square online ordering terminal.
Our work on Chicken Shack also coincided with the building of another website for Tracy and company, for their other venture in the next suite over, called Wine Notes.
