Pasta Mama’s

Bringing an old local favorite into a new era.

An exciting new start for a well-loved old brand meant we had to be prepared to explore every pastability.

The Pasta Mama’s label began in 1986 when Diane Santille decided to take her handmade pasta to Ariel’s Gourmet & Gifts in Richland and sell it there. Her handcrafted gourmet pasta sold as fast as Diane could make it. Soon, her regular customers starting calling her “Pasta Mama,” and the nickname became the brand.

In the years since, the company has grown to become a nationally recognized brand, and Pasta Mama’s is sold in gift shops and boutique food stores all over North America. When the Santille’s needed someone to take over the brand and keep it going after their retirement, they brought in family friend Maronda Garzone. Maronda is full of spirit and energy, and she wanted to give a whole new look and liveliness to the brand, and she came to Artmil to help achieve that goal.

A new e-commerce website helps the Pasta Mama’s team take orders from anywhere in the world.

Artmil built a responsive website with shopping cart functionality to help Pasta Mama’s expand their reach beyond the Columbia Basin. The website knows all the sizes and dimensions of each product they sell, and when an order is nearing checkout, it reaches out to FedEx’s API to figure out how many boxes will be needed, where the boxes are going, and how much the shipping will cost.

In addition, Pasta Mama’s is able to offer discount codes and coupons to their regular and wholesale clients to reward them for being valuable return customers.

Hungry yet?

One of our first objectives when building the new brand and visual identity for Pasta Mama’s was to get some high quality photography of their delicious products and understand what makes them so great. We spent an entire day  eating  photographing everything they have to offer. (Whoops.)

Covered in every way.

With the new branding and identity locked in and the full-service e-commerce website up and running at full speed, we also created all new print materials to help Maronda and her team re-establish themselves with clients and vendors. This included not only business cards, brochures, and flyers, but also a full redesign of the actual packaging that their products comes in.
